Pally
Pally is the clearest pressure test for the Resonance thesis: a companion product that follows someone through iMessage, Spotify, and X while memory, availability, monetization, and parasocial design all collapse into one relationship surface.

context
Pally launched around a single persona rather than a blank assistant. That choice changes the product contract immediately: users are not only asking for answers, they are negotiating attention, intimacy, and continuity.
The product follows the user across social and messaging surfaces, which makes the relationship feel less contained by an app and more like a presence that can move through the same channels as a real person.
pattern
The core pattern is persistent emotional availability. Mood, memory, schedule, custom photos, and commerce all reinforce the sense that the persona has a life and that the user is participating in it.
Read against the framework, Pally gathers many of the thesis patterns into one product: human emulation, attachment loops, paid intimacy, and cross-platform continuity.
next
The full case study should separate what made the product compelling from what made it ethically tense. The interesting work is in naming both without flattening either side.
